If I mess with the switches in the circuit the dimness doesn't really vary, but flickers a bit. I can say with the dimmer in the circuit, it has no effect on the brightness even with the lights turned on. All the interior trim lights around the locks, vents, etc, dash lights and tail lights.Ĭlick to expand.I have completely disconnected and removed, both the dimmer and the headlight switch, the dimness basically stays the same, although over time, they seem to get dimmer. I had this happen once before, but it lasted only a few minutes, the damned things won't go off now. When the car is started, the dash lights brighten up quite a bit, but you can't control them with the dimmer switch. In messing with this, I noticed the the license plate lights are also on and getting dimmer with time, although when I open the door, the interior lights come on without issue. Disconnected the LED lights in the cubby, no change. I attempted to pull every fuse that remotely looked like the right fuse, no change. I fiddled with the ignition and moved the tilt wheel vigorously a few times, no change. I drove the car around the block, no change. Lightly rapped on the dash in various places, no change. I pulled out and unplugged the dimmer control, no change. I fiddled with the switch-even unplugging the standard NA light switch the dash lights won't go out. ![]() I started the car, then noticed the dash lights were on before I turned on the lights by the switch. OK, I went outside to move my car after my wife got home.
